About Our Ministry Teams
The Administration Team facilitates the stewardship of the church’s finances, and the maintenance and use of the buildings and grounds. They work closely with the Facilities Coordinator.
The Worship Team facilitates all aspects of the planning and preparation for worship services. This includes Celebration of the Lord Supper and Communion preparation, and recruitment of liturgists, ushers, and communion servers. They work closely with the Music Director & Director of the Handbell Choir/Organist/Pianist.
They also guide the Sanctuary Arts Team in decorating the sanctuary for the changing of the liturgical seasons, and coordinating the Live-Stream Team for virtual worship attendees.
The Personnel Team facilitates the hiring of staff and the maintenance of relationships with staff. They see to the needs and compensation of staff, and act as human resources management for front office desk volunteers.
The Congregational Care Team facilitates pastoral ministries to those at home and those dealing with illness, grief, and hardship. They also conduct hospitality within the congregation. They guide the Congregational Care Circle, a network of congregational connection and support.
The Community & Global Engagement Team establishes and strengthens partnerships with other churches and organizations at all levels of community: neighborhood, city, borderlands, state, national, and global issue involvement. They help facilitate these ministries: Food Pantry, 4th Sunday Supper, Café Justo/Frontera de Cristo, Casa Alitas Snack Packs and other mission activities.
The Faith Formation Team facilitates Adult, Children, and Youth education and spiritual nurture. They coordinate Children’s Church, Lunch & Learn events, and Book Studies. The committee will be looking at new ways to strengthen discipleship across generations and interests.
